Every weekend, we bring our favorite headliners from all over the world to Somerville. Meet your new favorite comedian just before they become famous, and laugh harder than you've ever laughed before.

J.P. has toured as a recurring feature act with Stavros Halkias, Sam Morril, and Rachel Feinstein. In 2023 he recorded his debut hour special “In Brooklyn,” which premiered on Stavros Halkias’s YouTube channel July 17th 2024.

As a writer, J.P. worked on the 2025 Golden Globes, season 3 of Comedy Knockout, Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year Awards, and as a contributing writer for the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin and the Netflix Roast of Tom Brady. In 2016 J.P. performed on New Faces: Unrepped at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. He was named a finalist in New York’s Funniest 2017 and made his television debut that same year on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle II. McDade has also appeared on truTV’s Comedy Knockout and Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar.
